For most people the free tier is the product, and it is the more valuable of the two free plans here precisely because it is unmetered on the thing you use most.

QuillBot rewrites
QuillBot's paraphraser is the reason it exists: give it a clumsy sentence and get several rewritten versions in different registers. That is a genuinely different operation from correction, and Grammarly's rewrite suggestions are narrower.

The thing neither does
QuillBot is explicit that its output is not built to evade AI detectors, roughly 75% of processed text still reads as AI-generated. Any tool claiming otherwise is selling you something it cannot guarantee, and in academic or contractual contexts that is a risk you carry, not the vendor.
